Well let’s cut to the chase, did we see any tigers on safari……errr, nope!
We did see plenty of deer, antelope, wild parrots, eagles and vultures. It is always a lottery when you do things, they reckon you need to go on three safaris for a reasonable chance of seeing one.
There were plenty of paw prints, but no stripes!
We did enjoy it though, a three hour safari in a jeep in hilly terrain…and the views from the mountain tops were magnificent, including a spectacular sunrise.
We weren’t too disappointed not to see a tiger, as of course, there was plenty of wildlife on the way back to the hotel as well!
The rest of the day, we took in the countryside on the three hour drive to Jaipur, stopping to see some local crafts from the displaced tribeswomen in Ranthambore.
We arrived mid-afternoon, and Ruth took the opportunity for an Indian massage…rest and relaxation at the hotel next as we have a couple of very busy days coming up with tomorrows tour of Jaipur, followed by a trip to Pushkar on Sunday.
